Amanda graduated cum laude from Cameron University where she received her B.A. in English and a minor in History. Next, she attended Baylor School of Law where she participated in the Dawson & Sodd, P.C. Moot Court Competition and finished as a quarterfinalist. During law school, she also worked as a summer clerk at an estate planning boutique firm in Rockwall, Texas. Here she drafted pleadings and memos, and also co-authored an article published in an issue of the Dallas Bar Association’s Headnotes.
Amanda wasted no time gaining trial experience. The day she was sworn in as an attorney, Amanda served as Second Chair trial counsel for Plaintiff in a successful real estate DTPA and fraud case. Following that trial, she has worked on both plaintiff and defense cases in oil and gas, real estate, and personal injury litigation. For the past several years, she has focused on medical malpractice defense and insurance defense claims. She has represented more than 20 physicians, nurses, and physician extenders in front of the Texas Medical and Nursing Boards with no public reprimands or loss of licenses. She has also represented construction companies and apartment complexes in premises liability cases, trucking companies in vehicle accident cases, and various other defendants in personal injury situations.Telephone: 361.866.8004
