Fort Worth, Texas, August 21, 2014 – Hartline Barger LLP attorneys Edward A. Davis and Jim McInerny successfully defended a major trucking company in an employment case claiming the employer retaliated against the employee for filing a comp claim. The Plaintiff was injured in November of 2011 while working on the job, and although she was still physically unable to work a month later, she was terminated after repeatedly failing to update her employer on her status. The Plaintiff argued that she had indeed reported to the company and claimed she had cell phone records of approximately 30 phone calls to her employer within the month.

ALVARADO, Texas, August 18, 2014 – Hartline Barger LLP attorney Edward A. Davis secured a verdict for a major trucking company in a jury trial alleging a hit and run accident in Alvarado, Texas. The Plaintiff sued the trucking company, claiming that she sustained personal injuries and damages to her car after being run off the road by one of the company’s salt water disposal tankers. She further argued that the accident was due solely to the negligent actions of the rig driver.
