Amanda graduated cum laude from Cameron University where she received her B.A. in English and a minor in History. Next, she attended Baylor School of Law where she participated in the Dawson & Sodd, P.C. Moot Court Competition and finished as a quarterfinalist. During law school, she spent two summers working as a summer clerk at an estate planning boutique firm in Rockwall, Texas. Here she gained valuable experience regarding client-communication, guardianships, and probate proceedings, as well as co-authoring an article published in an issue of the Dallas Bar Association’s Headnotes.
Amanda wasted no time gaining trial experience. The day she was sworn in as an attorney, Amanda served as Second Chair trial counsel for Plaintiff in a successful real estate DTPA and fraud case. Following that trial, she has worked on both plaintiff and defense cases in oil and gas, real estate, and personal injury litigation. For the past several years, she has focused mainly on medical malpractice defense, personal injury defense, and enjoys occasional guardianship and estate litigation claims. She has defended many healthcare providers during their respective administrative board disciplinary proceedings with no public reprimands or loss of licenses to date. She has represented construction companies, hotels, and apartment complexes in premises liability cases, has represented trucking companies in vehicle accident cases, has represented oil and gas companies in rig accidents, and has represented individuals both seeking and defending guardianships and ancillary estate matters.Telephone: 361.866.8004
Born and raised an Army brat, Amanda’s seen her fair share of the world after living in countries such as Canada, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates. She has since planted her roots in Waco, but is by no means stationary. Amanda is constantly on the move as both a litigator, and a proud mom of four children, all born within five years of each other.
