David is a partner in the Houston office. Over his 30+ year career David has continually expanded his practice to include the defense of product liability, personal injury and premises defect claims, suits arising out of electrical fires, dram shop liability, pharmaceutical litigation, questions of insurance coverage and insurance-related litigation, as well as commercial construction. In the commercial litigation arena, David has handled the defense of complex breach of contract claims involving fraud, misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, claims under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act and, most recently, litigation involving real estate development and the duties flowing among developers and brokers. David also handles legal and appellate issues at the pretrial, trial and post-judgment stage. He has prepared appellate briefs and argued before various Texas courts of appeals over the years, and has briefed and argued before the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. David has also obtained his certification in Appellate Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
After graduating from law school, David began his career in the Trial Section of the San Antonio City Attorney’s Office, where he gained valuable experience defending a myriad of matters, from the defense of claims for personal injury and death to those arising under the Texas Tort Claims Act.
