Jim has over 30 years’ experience representing large and small employers in employment matters in state and federal courts, and before administrative agencies. His focus is on defending employers from claims of discrimination and wrongful termination. He is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Jim advises clients on all aspects of employment law, including hiring and termination decisions, immigration issues, claims brought by the EEOC, OSHA, and state administrative agencies, wage and hour matters, employee handbooks, and non-compete agreements. He represents insurance carriers in workers’ compensation claims and employers who are non-subscribers to workers’ compensation in Texas. In addition, Jim handles a variety of personal injury and commercial cases involving claims of negligence, premises liability and breach of contract.
