Jessica C. Junek

Jess has grown up in the high stakes litigation field and understands the value of skilled and prepared advocacy.  Prior to joining Hartline Barger, Jess started her career with a defense litigation firm where her docket focused on various personal injury and construction cases.  She earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, where she was a double major in Political Science and Communication.  She graduated magna cum laude from South Texas College of Law in 2017.   While in law school, she enhanced and strengthened her advocacy skills as a member of South Texas Advocacy’s Nationally Ranked Moot Court Team.  She won several national awards for her brief writing and advocacy skills throughout her moot court career.  Upon graduation, she was inducted into the Order of the Barristers and National Order of the Scribes.  Jess was also a member of the the  South Texas Law Review and a tutor for Torts I and II as a Langdell Scholar.   Jess was elected by her fellow classmates as the Outstanding Female Graduate for the Class of 2017.   Prior to law school, Jess was a paralegal with a litigation defense firm in Dallas for two years.

In her spare time, Jess enjoys spending time outdoors.  She has visited over 20 national parks.  She has also fly fished around the world, from the Texas Hill Country to the Yucatán, and even for trout and Arctic char in Iceland.  When she is not traveling, Jess is volunteering with various community organizations.
