Luke Maddox

Luke Maddox is a trial lawyer at Hartline Barger. After receiving his B.S. from the University of Illinois, Luke continued his education at Baylor University School of Law, where he was an Executive Editor of the Baylor Law Review, a member of the Baylor Barrister Society, and competed in mock trial. After graduating from Baylor Law, Luke served as a law clerk for the Honorable John P. Devine of the Supreme Court of Texas. At Hartline Barger, Luke concentrates his practice on personal injury, products liability, and premises liability. Luke will soon be licensed to practice in all four federal districts in Texas.

Zane Thomas

Zane graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and double minored in business and museum studies. He then attended Baylor Law School where he graduated with honors and in the top 25% of his class. While at Baylor Law, Zane was very involved in the student body. He was elected to many positions within the Student Bar Association, ultimately serving as the Executive President in his last year of law school. Zane has started his legal career here at Hartline Barger and is working in the personal injury field. He has already handled a variety of personal injury cases including premise liability, wrongful death, and product liability cases.

Stephanie B. Donaho

Stephanie Donaho has successfully represented clients in both state and federal court as well as in arbitration. She has extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants and has tried numerous bench trials as lead counsel.

Her practice has focused on civil and commercial litigation including personal injury, contract disputes, premises liability, construction defects, dram shop liability, and non-subscriber matters.

Prior to joining the firm, she was a partner at another Texas law firm and handled high exposure claims involving serious personal injuries.

Donald A. DeCandia

As one of only 3 New Mexico attorneys designated in 2022 as a Southwest Super Lawyer® in the area of Products Liability Defense, Don DeCandia draws on more than 30 years of experience in zealously representing clients at both trial and appellate levels. Don is proud to have joined the Hartline team in 2019 and assisted the firm in opening its Albuquerque and Santa Fe offices, having spent his entire career practicing in New Mexico Courts. Don focuses primarily on the areas of products liability, tort and personal injury, and ERISA litigation. He has litigated complex commercial cases and class actions and has a depth of experience in appellate work. Don believes that listening and attention to detail are key components of a successful practice. He maintains close communications with client contacts to ensure that informed judgment guides key decisions. Don has achieved the highest rating possible from Martindale-Hubbell and is recognized by Best Lawyers in America® and Southwest Super Lawyers®.

Don has handled scores of products liability cases in the vehicle context, including the defense of several tire manufacturers in tire failure litigation. He has also represented building product and power tool manufacturers, and his practice includes insurance bad faith cases and premises liability matters. Many of his cases involve claims for wrongful death and serious personal injury.

Don’s extensive experience in ERISA litigation includes representation of life, health and disability insurers, HMOs, self-funded plans, plan sponsors, plan administrators, pension plans and third-party administrators.
