Attorney Overview
Maria Cristina Carson focuses her practice on researching and drafting complex motions, responses, memos, and appellate briefs to defend companies and individuals in both state and federal court actions.
While working at Hartline, Cristina has drafted a successful motion for judgment as a matter of law in a high profile federal civil case, a successful response to a petition for review at the Texas Supreme Court, and a successful petition for writ of mandamus to the Texas Court of Appeals.
Prior to returning to Hartline, Cristina was an associate at an AmLaw 100 law firm, where she worked on complex insurance litigation matters and insurance coverage.
Cristina graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S.A. in Biology. She graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 2021, where she served as an articles editor for the Texas Review of Law & Politics and was a member of the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law.
After law school, Cristina clerked for United States Magistrate Judge John D. Love.
In her spare time, Cristina enjoys sightseeing, listening to music, and taking walks with her husband.
