Earlier this month, Zane Thomas successfully argued his first motion for summary judgment in a complex personal injury case involving multiple plaintiffs. Zane prevailed on four of the seven claims, leading to the dismissal of three plaintiffs from the case.

Hartline Barger Prevails on Summary Judgment in Construction Accident Case
On August 13, 2024, Hartline Barger attorneys, led by Stephen Garrett and Lisa Massey prevailed on summary judgment in a construction accident case on a co-defendant's cross-claim for contractual indemnity, defense, attorney's fees, and contribution. The lawsuit relates to a 2021 construction accident in San Antonio, Texas in which one construction worker was killed and another injured.

Hartline Barger Partner Matt Gelina and Associate Maryse Rodriguez secured a favorable outcome for our small business client in a recent jury trial with exposure well above the client’s insurance limits. We represented a small propane distribution company that services food truck parks in Austin as well as their driver. The case arose from a 2019 motor vehicle accident where our client admitted that he turned left in front of Plaintiff’s oncoming pickup truck.
