Darrell Barger and Angela Gordon successfully resisted Plaintiffs’ counsel’s request for a $13.1 million award for fees and costs in a class action settlement for defective toilet tanks. Federal Judge Amos Mazzant rejected Scott Carpenter and Rebecca Bell-Stanton’s request for a 2.9 times multiplier above the lodestar calculation, awarding them only 36 percent of their requested award.
