Tennessee Court of Appeals Reverses $31m Verdict Against International Trucking Manufacturer
An appellate court in Jackson, Tennessee reversed a 2017 jury verdict against an international truck and engine manufacturer that held the commercial truck and engine manufacturer liable for $31 million in actual and punitive damages. The underlying trial involved a commercial dispute regarding the reliability of trucks purchased by the plaintiff, Milan Supply Chain Solutions and manufactured by Defendant.
Full Dismissal Secured in Wrongful Death Claim
Hartline Barger successfully had all claims dismissed against a nightclub client after filing a summary judgment motion. The Bexar County wrongful death lawsuit arose from a shooting incident on the freeway between an ex-boyfriend of an entertainer and a third-party security guard who was driving the entertainer home.

Hartline Barger Granted Dismissal with Prejudice in Dallas County
Hartline Barger recently filed a motion to dismiss Plaintiff’s claims with prejudice, and it was granted by a Dallas County judge today. This lawsuit arose out of an accident that occurred at a Texas gun range. Plaintiff arrived at the gun range and was assigned to a lane. Plaintiff proceeded to her lane where she began to shoot her firearm. According to Plaintiff, while she was in her lane shooting her firearm, she was struck by a ricocheting bullet. Plaintiff filed suit against the gun range.
Hartline Barger Secures a Successful Bench Trial in Harris County
Hartline Barger had a successful bench trial before Judge Donna Roth in the 295th District Court in Harris County. The case was brought by a group of property owners against the homeowner’s association for their subdivision.
